IT ALL STARTS WITH THE GROUND
During every golf swing you press on the ground and the ground presses back on you. The forces pushing on your body cause you to begin to rotate and create speed in your golf swing. These are called ground reaction forces. How much force, when it is created, and in what direction are important factors to increasing the efficiency of using the ground. Our force pedal protocol with SuperSpeed golf works to improve all of these factors at once.
THE SUPERSPEED
FORCE PEDAL PROTOCOL
We designed this protocol to work on the most important parts of ground reaction forces. This includes increasing the amount of force, improving the timing of various forces, and training the specific point of application and direction of forces. This easy to follow, 15 minute program will help every golfer use the ground better.
THE RESULTS OF SUPERSPEED GOLF ON GROUND FORCES
Dr. Tyler Standifird of Utah Valley University tested players going through level 1 SuperSpeed training protocol and measured ground forces before and after the training. He found an average increase of 18% in peak vertical force production. He also found that players created this peak vertical force sooner in the downswing, making this force work better in creating speed. Overall, Dr. Standifird found that SuperSpeed Golf helped every player in the study use the ground better in the golf swing.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I include Force Pedals in my SuperSpeed Training?
You can do the Force Pedal protocol at any time during your speed training protocols. This program works on the mechanics of using the ground and will be completely separate from your speed training sessions.
Do these work for Juniors as well?
Absolutely. The force pedals will help all golfers use the ground better in the golf swing.
Why are there two sizes in the package?
There are two sizes and two colors in each package. The yellow pedal is slightly firmer than the orange. The larger pedals provide less specific point of application feedback than the minis. All of these are used specifically in our training protocol.
Can’t I just use half a tennis ball?
The honeycomb like structure under the force pedals provide consistent resistance throughout the motion of the golf swing. Other devices are unable to provide this feel.
