⛳️ How SuperSpeed Golf Works

So, how does SuperSpeed Golf help you increase your clubhead speed? Let’s break it down. Our training is structured around three core cycles: Primary Training, Maintenance, and Ramp-Up. Each of these phases serves a specific purpose in your speed training journey, and they’re all designed to build on one another to help you swing faster and more efficiently. Here's how it all works:

The Speed Pyramid: The Foundation of Training

Our training operates under a model called the Speed Pyramid, which focuses on three critical components:

  1. Lower Body - Ground Force Generation: At the base of the pyramid, we focus on your lower body’s ability to create power from the ground up. This is where everything starts.

  2. Upper Body - Rotational Sequencing: In the middle of the pyramid, we train how your upper body rotates and develops torque to support maximum speed.

  3. Lag and Wrist Mechanics: At the top of the pyramid, we emphasize wrist mechanics and the ability to release the club effectively, helping you achieve maximum clubhead speed.

All of our drills are designed with this pyramid in mind, progressing from lower body power generation to rotational sequencing, and then to fine-tuning your lag and release.

Primary Training Cycle: The Core of Your Speed Program

The Primary Training Cycle is where you’re going to be doing the bulk of your work. This phase lasts for 10 weeks and is broken down into two 5-week levels. During these 10 weeks, you’ll train three times a week, following step-by-step protocols available through our SuperSpeed Golf app. Each session is designed to push your limits and maximize your speed gains.

What's Included?

  • Drills like the Step Drill, which help you develop the feel of generating power from the ground up.

  • Detailed protocols, sets, reps, and progression guides to ensure you’re on the right path.

By the end of this 10-week stretch, you’ll have undergone an intensive training phase designed to boost your speed.

Maintenance Phase: Locking in Your Gains

After completing the Primary Training Cycle, you’ll move into a Maintenance Phase. During this phase, you drop down to training just once a week. The goal here isn’t to gain more speed but to solidify and maintain the progress you made during the primary phase. Think of it like tapering your workouts at the gym: after weeks of heavy lifting, you don’t want to burn out by continuing at the same intensity indefinitely.

This phase helps make your new speed gains settle in while giving your body a little break from the intense routine of training three times a week. The duration of this phase can vary based on factors like whether you’re in-season or out-of-season, especially for competitive players.

Ramp-Up Cycle: Getting Ready for More Gains

The Ramp-Up Cycle comes after your Maintenance Phase. During this period, you gradually start increasing the frequency of your sessions, returning to training three times a week. This preps your body to dive back into another Primary Training Cycle, where you can continue to push your speed gains.

Everything You Need in the App

All of these cycles and protocols might sound a bit complex, but we’ve laid everything out in our SuperSpeed Golf app. The app guides you step-by-step through each phase, so you know exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. From detailed instructions to progress tracking, our app is designed to make your speed training journey as seamless as possible.

The Bottom Line

SuperSpeed Golf’s training system revolves around these three key cycles:

  1. Primary Training Cycle: Intensive training to boost your speed.

  2. Maintenance Phase: Solidify and maintain your gains.

  3. Ramp-Up Cycle: Prepare your body for the next intensive training block.

By following this structured approach, you can train smarter, keep your speed gains consistent, and continue building towards your best golf performance yet. 🏌️♂️💪

Train smart, trust the process, and watch your speed soar! 🚀
